Principal's Message

Dear Wildcats,

As you may know, Dr. Pike has accepted a principal position in another school District. She made a tremendous impact on our school community and as a site, we will continue the work.  I would like to formally introduce myself to you. My name is Karen Brooks and I will serve as the Interim Principal here at Whittier until a permanent Principal is hired. I come to you with decades of experience in education, having served as a teacher and administrator. I will work alongside our Assistant Principal, Mrs. Goralski, to launch the 2024-2025 school year. 

I did want to share that Hemet Unified is currently in the process of recruiting a new principal. After the position closes, references are checked and candidates go through multiple rounds of interviews to ensure that they are a good fit for the school site and for our community. Hemet USD is committed to hiring a new principal as soon as possible. I will keep you posted on the progress and hope to formally announce a new principal soon. 

I am looking forward to supporting all of you as we begin another school year!
