Whittier Elementary is thrilled to recognize Mr. Pat Hilke as the HUSD Staff Spotlight for elementary schools. Mr. Hilke has been a teacher at Whittier since 2014. He is a dedicated teacher who goes above and beyond in everything he does, selflessly volunteering to fill in various roles on our campus. Currently, Mr. Hilke serves as grade-level lead teacher, member of our Guiding Coalition, EL site lead, administrative designee, and executive producer of WETV (a student-centered video channel for Whittier Elementary). Each of these roles requires heart and commitment in addition to an abundance of hours to properly care for our staff and students. Mr. Hilke is a trusted, fun-loving, valued member of our school community who advocates for all students and is deeply invested in their success.
